I taught Art 10-20-30 when working at St. Andrews School in High Prairie. There were varying abilities in the classroom. Everyday we would have a mini lesson and then switch to studio time. During studio time I would help individual students with their work. This was a very interactive class with extremely high engagement.

Part of my assignment at St. Andrews School was teaching science 14. This was an amazing experience, through getting to know the students I quickly observed this class needed to be interactive, related to their lives and hands on. We learned through daily hands on activities. The success rate for this group of boys was outstanding.

I taight a grade one and two split for Driftpile First Nations. This was a very life changing experience for myself. I lived on reserve in teacher housing, became part of the community and took part in numerous cultural events. This was my first assignment, it was here I learned what differentiated instruction truly meant, how important classroom management and how essential planning was.
